Sexually transmitted diseases affect one in five people
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and STDs are infections typically transmitted through sexual contact. Because symptoms are not always obvious, and because STDs affect 20% of the population, learning more and getting tested means you have the information you need to protect yourself.
Crucially, early detection and an early diagnosis can either combat the disease entirely, or at least lessen the symptoms.
